Postdoctoral Research Position at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD – Biology Section

Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher to help lead and coordinate an interdisciplinary research team focused on the topic of Kelp Carbon Cycling and Sequestration Potential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in more than one of the following categories roughly ranked in priority from top to bottom:

1. Phycology including kelp forest biology, ecology and/or ecophysiology
2. Seawater carbon chemistry/carbon flux (organic or inorganic)
3. Sediment geochemistry
4. Remote sensing
5. Coastal oceanography
6. Marine resource policy & economics
