Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Over the years we have worked very hard to keep Seattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound. Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. This new position will be based at the Native Salmonid Conservation Facility (NSCF) currently under construction in Usk, WA in Pend Oreille County. The Conservation Fish Hatchery Supervisor (Supervisor) is a working supervisor responsible for overseeing and implementing a multi-species, conservation fish-rearing facility. Key responsibilities of this position include: directs daily hatchery operation to ensure that all fish health and production needs are met; supervises hatchery staff, prepares work schedules and assignments required for all hatchery operations; oversees and directs all fish spawning, incubation and rearing activities; developing and maintaining records necessary to document fish production goals, conservation mating strategies, fish health and disease monitoring, feeding regimens; performing and documenting necessary maintenance and repair of hatchery facilities and equipment; oversees and directs hatchery site security and biosecurity; and coordinates hatchery operations with City Light staff and appropriate tribal, state, and federal management agencies.
