Membership in Oregon Aquaculture AssociationThe Oregon Aquaculture Association is a member of the National Aquaculture Association. Membership support for OAA also supports NAA and its work.
Producer Members are representing persons, organizations, entities and corporations who are actively engaged in the business of fresh or saltwater culture of plant and/or animal life on a commercial scale and who supports the purposes and objectives of the Oregon Aquaculture Association (OAA).
Producer members may attend and participate in any meeting(s) of the corporation’s members. Producer members shall have the right to vote and, if duly elected, shall be entitled to sit as members of the Board of Directors of the corporation. Producer members shall have one vote per paid membership.
Associate members are those memberships representing persons, organizations, entities and corporations who are actively engaged in supplying or receiving goods and services of aquaculture producers and have a valid interest in the field of aquaculture and who is interested in and supports the purposes and objectives of the OAA.
Associate members may attend and participate in any meeting(s) of the corporation’s members. Associate members shall have the right to vote and, if duly elected shall be entitled to sit as members of the Board of Directors of the corporation. Associate members shall have one vote per paid membership.
Supporting members are those memberships which represent persons, organizations, entities, and corporations who are interested in and support the purposes and objectives of the OAA as a result of their academic training, or as a result of their employment or representation of research institutions, colleges, universities, government bureaus or agencies and related support industries, or who otherwise are interested in the field of aquaculture.
Supporting members shall not have the right to vote and shall not be entitled to sit as a member of the Board of Directors of the corporation. They shall, however, maintain the right to sit on standing and temporary committees as voting members thereof.
Student members are those memberships of bona fide students attending an accredited academic institution and who are interested in and supports the purposes and objectives of the OAA.
Student members shall not have the right to vote and shall not be entitled to sit as a member of the Board of Directors of the corporation. They shall, however, maintain the right to sit on standing and temporary committees as voting members thereof.
Hobbyist members are those memberships that represent persons, organizations, entities and corporations who have a special interest in small units of aquaculture which might include backyard Koi or goldfish ponds, farm ponds or non-commercial scale aquaponics.
Hobbyist members shall not have the right to vote and shall not be entitled to sit as a member of the Board of Directors of the corporation. They shall, however, maintain the right to sit on standing and temporary committees as voting members thereof.
Group Members are those memberships that represent any groups of individuals that are interested in and support the purposes and objectives of the OAA. Such members shall only have the right to receive the corporation’s mailings, notices and publications.
*$25 per individual up to $100 for the group
School Club Members are those memberships that represent a student club at an educational institution that is interested in aquaculture and supports the purposes and objectives of the OAA. Such members shall only have the right to receive the corporation’s mailings, notices and publications.
